Chong Zi - Chapter 4 : Helpless Master

There are some outsiders who come to Zizhu Peak. The huge Chonghua Palace was empty, and not a single person was in sight. After a few days, Chongzi's fun had passed, there was no new homework, and he soon felt bored. Apart from being forbidden from going out of the mountain without permission, the Nanhua disciples were very free to move around. When he was bored, he suddenly thought of someone, so he sneaked into Zizhu Peak early in the morning and ran excitedly towards the main peak, Liuhe Hall.

Liuhe Hall still looks very solemn, many disciples come in and out, and there is a faint voice of Min Yunzhong inside. What Chongzi was most afraid of was him. How dare he enter? He hurriedly dodged, and subconsciously turned to another hall door along the corridor, and raised his eyes to see three huge characters written on the hall door.

Chongzi was illiterate and stood suspiciously.

"Chongzi, what are you going to do?" someone pushed him.

When he turned around and saw the person coming, Chongzi felt familiar at first, and then he remembered who he was after thinking about it.

Wen Lingzhi's status in the Nanhua faction had changed since she joined Min Yunzhong's disciple. Right now, he was preparing to go to Liuhe Hall with a few female disciples. He didn't want to meet Chongzi. He always pondered seeing that Chongzi was accepted as a disciple by Luo Yinfan. Even angrier, when he met her at this point. It couldn't be helped that he wanted to tease and humiliate her.

Chongzi is a ten year old child. He only felt that Wen Lingzhi was just being rude to him and naturally he didn't like her. So he lowered his head and was about to leave.

Wen Lingzhi came over to stop him, "Chongzi, you are not being polite."

Only then did Chongzi remember that he was Min Yunzhong's disciple. In terms of seniority, he was of the same generation as Luo Yinfan, so he had to pay his respects and call him Shishu, but helplessly lowered his head in a respectful manner, "Shishu called me?"

Wen Lingzhi rolled her eyes and asked, "You've been in Nanhua for a long time? Do you know where the Ancestral Hall is?"

Chongzi didn't know about it and answered honestly, "No."

Several female students burst out laughing.

Wen Lingzhi said disdainfully, "He doesn't even recognize the writing. Isn't the Ancestral Hall in front of you? I would be ashamed to be a disciple of Venerable Chonghua."

Chongzi's face turned red with embarrassment, and he thought that this matter would spread throughout Nanhua in no time. In fact, he was a beggar, and it was nothing new for him to be laughed at by others, but he couldn't make jokes about his teacher.

Wen Lingzhi achieved his goal and was about to humiliate him again.

When he heard a gentle voice from behind him say, "Your Highness Chonghua has sharp eyes, and who should be accepted as a disciple must have merit. How can we talk about it in private?"

The female disciples immediately fell silent.

He had an ordinary appearance, had charm in his movements, had an extraordinary but slightly restrained demeanor, and spoke kindly, but all senior and junior brothers in Nanhua had to respect one another. He looks like he is only in his twenties, but he always gives people a very stable and reliable look. In Chongzi's eyes, he was somewhat similar to Luo Yinfan.

In front of him was the Nanhua School's first disciple, Min Yunzhong's pride disciple, and also the person the Headmaster trusted the most. Wen Lingzhi knew what to do, and hurriedly lowered her head to salute, as if very embarrassed, "Lingzhi's words are not careful. Thank you Senior Brother Mu."

Mu Yu didn't reproach him, and nodded, "Master is in Liuhe Hall, hurry up."

Hearing those words, Wen Lingzhi and the female disciples left quickly as if they had been granted amnesty.

Chongzi lowered his head, "Shishu Mu."

Mu Yu squatted down and looked at him with a smile, "Chongzi just ignore them. Venerable Chonghua has never accepted disciples, and now he is willing to let you worship him as a teacher, you are the best, remember?"

Among the disciples of Nanhua Mountain, his reputation is already good, but seeing it is so good now, Chongzi is grateful and blinks solemnly, "Chongzi remembers it."

Mu Yu patted her small shoulder and stood up. "Why aren't you at Zizhu Peak? What are you doing here?"

Chongzi said, "I'm here to find Brother Qin Ke to play. Is he not here?"

Mu Yu said, "The headmaster ordered him to go to Yuchen Peak to practice swordsmanship. No outsiders are allowed to disturb him. I'm afraid you won't see him in recent years."

Chongzi said "Ah", disappointed.

Mu Yu asked, "Didn't Venerable Chonghua teach you immortal arts?"

Chongzi answered honestly, "Master said I can't cultivate yet."

Mu Yu frowned, and immediately showed his face, "It doesn't matter if you can't cultivate yet. Chongzi will be fine." He lifted his finger and pointed at the plaque above his head, "Those three characters read as the Ancestral Hall, and I will take you in to take a look."

The Ancestral Hall was not as grand as the Liuhe Hall, but it was a little more solemn and a little quiet. The in-person offering table was clean, with a large incense burner above it, several portraits hanging on the walls, and many unrolled scrolls of paintings neatly stacked beneath it. There were only two or three disciples in the hall talking together. When they saw Mu Yu, they all came over to pay their respects. After Mu Yu gave a few words, they stopped and went to work by themselves.

Mu Yu went to the offering table with Chongzi and introduced, “This is the place where the Nanhua Sect worshiped the ancestors of the past dynasties, so it is called the Ancestral Hall. Every ninth day of the ninth lunar month is the founding day of the Nanhua Sword Immortal Sect, and all Nanhua disciples must came here to worship the ancestors."

"Shishu Mu, what is that?" Chongzi tugged at his sleeves suddenly, as if he saw something terrifying.

The palm-sized token hung in the air above the table. It was shaped like a machete, he couldn't tell what material it was made of, and there was a strange, crimson luster on it.

Mu Yu said “Oh” and explained, “That is the Demon Order… the token of the ancient Demon King. Five years ago, in the battle between the gods and demons, the gods used an extreme divine hand technique passed down by the ancient gods, and finally the Demon Lord was cut down with the sword. The Demon King was scattered, and Tianzhun died from being seriously injured, and this Demon Order has returned to Nanhua."

Since stepping into the temple gate, Chongzi felt a bit uncomfortable, and now he found that the token was something that made him uneasy, so he asked, and stuttered when he heard the words, "Demon...Ancient Demon King?"

Mu Yu nodded, "There is an oath of ten thousand demons on it, which is used to command ten thousand demons."

Chongzi shrank right behind him, "What if someone else steals it and does something bad?"

Mu Yu smiled and pulled it out, "You don't need to be afraid, because it can command all demons and is very important, the Demon Lord naturally fears that the token will be stolen, so he used the devil palace's forbidden technique to seal it. No human can resurrect it, and now that all the devils are dead. There is no need to worry. The headmaster put it here, firstly to cherish Tianzun's memory, and secondly to watch over the disciple's descendants."

Chongzi breathed a sigh of relief, "Apart from the ancient Demon King, can't anyone really use it?"

Mu Yu said, "A person who has the same demon blood as the Demon Lord can naturally resurrect him, but His Highness the Demon King has no blood relatives."

Chongzi was stunned, and looked up again.

The Order of Demons hung high in the air, as if it had eyes. Chongzi looked at him, as if he was calling out, and he moved slightly.

Chongzi was even more frightened, "Shishu Mu, let's go out."

The child's thoughts were all expressed on his face, and Mu Yu saw that something was wrong, "What's wrong with you?"

"I'm afraid," Chongzi didn't dare to say it, he hesitated, "Shishu, I will go back first."

After he finished speaking, he exited and fled, leaving Mu Yu with an inexplicable face.

The ancient Demon King's belongings are truly terrifying, and it seems that the ancient Demon King's Order wants to talk to him! Chongzi was extremely panicked, so he simply decided not to go to the Ancestral Hall anymore, and dashed towards Zizhu Peak. On the way, he met Min Yunzhong. Min Yunzhong's gloomy face almost made him break out in a cold sweat.

***

For several days in a row, the dark red Demonic Order always appeared in Chongzi's dreams. In the dream, that Order of Demons actually had eyes out and was always looking at him and laughing. Chongzi often woke up in the middle of the night, but luckily he was a little beggar and was used to sleeping under other people's roofs. Nightmares weren't so scary to him. Half a month later, the impression in his mind gradually faded, and he finally forgot about it.

The next day, Chongzi's life was even more bland.

All of his brothers and sisters have homework, but Chongzi has nothing to do and is unhappy. He tried to go to Nanhua Peak as little as possible, not only because he hated Wen Lingzhi, but more importantly, he found that all the brothers and sisters seemed to keep themselves away from him, especially because of what the headmaster said, but Mu Yu treat them the same. Unfortunately, as the first disciple, Mu Yu had to do work and practice.

The mountains were full of purple bamboo and vast seas of clouds, and they became dull and dull to the eyes.

Luo Yinfan taught the breathing method that night, and the next day he discovered that he could gather spiritual energy by himself. After that, his teacher never asked about him, nor did he leave any other homework for him. He went out every day or early in the morning and came back very late, or dealt with business in the hall all day. Chongzi couldn't enter the hall, and the only time he could enter was when he was not in the hall. Chongzi tried to call him a few times, but when his teacher heard him, he unlocked the technique and let Chongzi in, asked if it was okay, and let him out again.

Chongzi was disappointed.

The other brothers and sisters would meet the teacher if they wanted to, and even a strict person like Min Xianzun would let Wen Lingzhi follow him.

He tries his best to study well and to please his teacher, but the better he studies, the less he cares about her.

The hall door opened, and a snow-white figure appeared in front of the stairs.

Chongzi waited outside the hall for a long time, and he had already made up his mind. Seeing this, he immediately ran over and hugged him with a smile, "Teacher!"

Several tiny black fingerprints were immediately imprinted on the snow white robe.

Luo Yinfan was not used to being hugged so enthusiastically by his disciple. How could he know what he was thinking, when he looked down and saw his filthy body, he couldn't help frowning.

If he was easily angered, he would not be Luo Yinfan.

He only thought it was a child, waved his sleeves gently, and in the twinkling of an eye, not only him, but also the stains on Chongzi's body disappeared.

The teacher and his students became pure white.

Chongzi opened his mouth wide.

Luo Yinfan was very gentle, "Play alone, I will come out."

The white robe dragged on the ground, and he walked down the stairs slowly, stepping on the white clouds all over the ground, going away, just like the impression when he first saw him, so far away from him, it seemed that he would never be able to summon him.

Chongzi sat on the stone steps in frustration, resting his cheek, his big eyes wandering.

***

Luo Yinfan immediately discovered that this little disciple seemed to be obedient, but this was not the case. As time goes by, his mischievous nature seems to be exposed one by one. Luo Yinfan usually woke up early, but every time he went to the main hall's mansion, the little disciple had already gone there earlier, and caused quite a bit of damage. Either the paperweight is lost, or the pen is folded, the paper is scattered on the floor, and sometimes the whole hall is a mess.

Of course, this was not a big deal to Luo Yinfan. With a wave of his hand, everything returned to its original state. In the past, he was only a child who loved to play, but after more than a few times, he couldn't help but start to suspect that this disciple was doing it on purpose.

For example, he would sprinkle ink on the chair, catch Linghe who was delivering the mail, hold it in his arms and not let go, or simply soak white paper with tea, or even draw on the ground with his fairy pen, which painted turtles or rabbits, and with expressions smug look on her face, asking if she was okay or not.

These are all bad boys, and that's no big mistake. Of course, Luo Yinfan wouldn't take on the heavy responsibility, but he couldn't bear to see Linghe look at him pitifully every day. After a few times he decided to speak. Words like "Don't do this" have been said dozens of times. Who knew that the young disciple's forgetfulness was as strong as his destructive nature, and he would often ignore his teacher's teachings and act on his own.

No matter how good Luo Yinfan was, he still felt helpless. Could it be that this disciple was sent by God to test him? Finally one day, when he entered the hall he found that the state of the hall was unusual.

Everything in the hall was in place, there was no ink on the chairs, the desk was clean and spotless, and the Linghe who had delivered the letter was hovering over it, looking hesitant, and it took a long time to pick up the letter and fly away.

It was the letter he had written to the head of Qinghua Palace last night. A bad feeling emerged, Luo Yinfan quickly called back Linghe.

Sure enough, the letter was still in good condition, but there was actually a huge turtle drawn on the cover, and it was still made of ice ink! It turned out that in order to prevent someone from damaging the letters on the letter, Xianmen specially made ice ink, and used it to write, the magic could not be removed.

Seeing the tortoise, Luo Yinfan's scalp felt numb. Fortunately, the letter had not been sent, otherwise the Nanhua faction would be embarrassed.

It was time to teach that little disciple a lesson.

He took a light breath and called out, "Chong'er! Chong'er!"

As if waiting outside for a long time, the little disciple rushed in at the fastest speed, "Master called Chong'er?"

Luo Yinfan did not teach his students even though he was his own student, and he had seen Shishu Min and his senior Yu Du teach his students. He knew how a teacher had to express his dissatisfaction when the student was disobedient, so he lifted his face and threw the letter in front of him, "Kneel down!"

Without any hesitation, Chongzi knelt down obediently.

The naughty little disciple was very obedient and obedient, Luo Yinfan was stunned for a while, and his anger soon subsided and after a while he said, “How did the teacher teach you at the beginning, and what did you say yourself? You must listen to the teacher's words, but you forgot?"

Chongzi whispered, "No."

Luo Yinfan said, "Then why are you being naughty?"

Chongzi just lowered his little head and didn't say anything.

Seeing his sad appearance, Luo Yinfan softened his heart and persuaded him with kind words, "You can't do this in the future, let's go." Suddenly thinking that this sentence has been said dozens of times, it seems that the effect is not great, and immediately added, "If you are naughty again, I will definitely punish you severely."

Chongzi quietly got up and went out.

It's time to rush to fix the letter. Luo Yinfan shook his head and sat down at the table. He picked up the pen again. For some reason, huge black eyes suddenly appeared in front of him, and an even worse premonition emerged in his heart.

Turns out, his hunch was accurate.

After waking up the next day, Luo Yinfan remembered that he had forgotten to put things in the hall. He went down the hall, and when he returned, he found that someone had come into the room. Sure enough, she could not find the ink hairpin she used to tie up her hair every day.

In fact, she didn't need to have an ink hairpin, but the thing she used so easily had suddenly disappeared, and she wasn't used to it.

Bad thoughts slowly form...

Luo Yinfan was stunned for a moment, then came out to confirm that he saw Chongzi lying on the edge of the four seas, playing with his hairpin!

Luo Yinfan couldn't help but laugh and cry, "Chong'er! Chong'er!"

Chongzi saw him and ran quickly, "Master."

"How can you take something that belongs to teacher without permission?"

"......"

Of course Luo Yinfan wouldn't be mad at the kid, but that young disciple was so stubborn that even his master didn't take him seriously. Indulging in the path of the unbelievers, this is the time to punish him, so he scowled and said, "You have no respect. Then teacher will punish you to kneel here for two hours!"

Chongzi had to kneel down.

Luo Yinfan took the hosta, turned and entered the hall.

Soon there was a cry from outside.

Is it too hard to punish a child like this? Luo Yinfan was already worried, and when he heard the sound, he got up and went out to see, and the little disciple cried, "What's wrong?"

Chongzi raised his little face, his face covered in tears, "Teacher,... my leg hurts... it hurts."

He was still young and naughty was the nature of a child, Luo Yinfan couldn't bear to scold him again, and reached out to help him, “Now you know the lesson. You must change in the future.”

"Master is very good, Chong'er must obey." Chongzi hugged his legs, his big eyes flashing.

Two days later and Luo Yinfan finally collapsed.

"Chong'er! Chong'er!"

Living alone in Zizhu Peak, no outsiders dared to disturb him, so usually Luo Yinfan rarely spoke for a few days, but now he discovered that the number of times he spoke had increased significantly. The girl always appeared in front of him very quickly. He could run so fast without cultivating. It seemed that he had been waiting for her for a long time, and he was looking forward to it.

He looked at Chongzi in front of him decisively, "Go to the hall and kneel, and kneel for two hours before you can get up!"

Soon another scream came from outside the hall, getting louder and louder. This immature disciple! Luo Yinfan decided to ignore it.

Sure enough, it soon became quiet outside.

Luo Yinfan was a little worried, hesitated for a moment, and finally sighed and decided to go out and have a look. This looks good, the front of the hall is empty, and the child is missing!

Luo Yinfan had a headache. In fact, he had never encountered such a situation before. No matter when and where, all the disciples of the Immortal Sect respected him when they saw him, and no one dared to mess with him. The disciples of the teacher and Shishunya were very obedient and obedient, but the disciples themselves were very stubborn. Sure enough, not everyone can become a teacher. It's not a law and it's very difficult too.

It was only a small matter that he escaped. Was there anything on Zizhu Peak that could be hidden from Luo Yinfan. Chongzi was immediately brought back and knelt in the hall.

Seeing you running under my eyes! Luo Yinfan sat in front of him.

This time, Chongzi accompanied him into the hall to be punished for kneeling, but he was surprisingly calm and disciplined, neither making noise nor making trouble, but just staring at him with big eyes, as if he had been enchanted.

Luo Yinfan also watched secretly, and he was surprised, this little disciple likes to be punished so much?

After two or three months, he practiced the breathing and breathing method every day, and he was nourished by the spiritual energy of heaven and earth. When he first ascended the mountain, the little girl with yellow hair and sunken cheeks had long since disappeared. Now the hair is black and shiny, and there is a bit of flesh on the face. it turned around, those eyes became eccentric and a bit sly, maybe that was a bad idea.

Seeing it was inexplicable, Luo Yinfan finally couldn't stand it anymore. For the first time in his life, he took the initiative to ask others a psychological question, "What do you want to do?"

As if the wrong thing was discovered, Chongzi immediately blushed and lowered his eyes, showing a trace of guilt.

Luo Yinfan sighed, got up and walked in front of him.

Feeling that the person in front of him was really angry, Chongzi finally became agitated and raised his face, "Teacher..."

He looked at her and said nothing.

Has he overreacted? Chongzi became more and more panicked, and hesitatingly called out again, "Teacher...?"

Luo Yinfan finally bowed, placed both hands on his shoulders, and said softly, “Why are you doing this on purpose? I accept you as my disciple and hope that you will study well. Why are you so disobedient and undeveloped?”

Master had seen that he did it on purpose? Chongzi was stunned.

Beautiful eyes stared at him, and there was a strong sense of helplessness and disappointment in them. The same posture reminded Chongzi of the elf brother years ago. If he knew that he didn't study well, he would be disappointed, right?

Chongzi finally pouted and cried softly.

Luo Yinfan regretted that he was serious, and pulled him up from the ground, "Don't be naughty in the future, you must obey, remember?"

The face in front of him was extremely beautiful, with a look of anticipation, Chongzi couldn't resist anymore, and nodded with a choked head.

Seeing that he was truly sorry, Luo Yinfan patted his head, "Continue."

Chongzi hesitated, and reluctantly left the hall.
